Young Greens co-Chair Sam Coates and 3 other Young Greens in Cardiff are candidates for Cardiff Council. Cardiff Young Greens was set up in 2007 and thanks to the dedication of members past and present, is one of the most successful Young Greens groups in the country.
We’ve fought SU elections, organised talks including bringing Noam Chomsky to the city, and are now in the position to challenge for the local Council seats where most students live, but we need your help!
With the much improved result and an energised local party as a result of last May’s Assembly Elections, we're fighting hard to elect our first Councillors. We polled around 20% in the ward last year.
We will be meeting at a candidate's house (tbh) at 12:00 on Saturday for a lunch (provided) and briefing followed by a couple of hours of canvassing and leafleting (whichever you're more comfortable with), followed by dinner and the pub. The meeting place will be within easy reach of Cathays train station, 2 stops from Cardiff Central.
There will also be plenty to do on Sunday, and free accommodation can be arranged.
If you can come, please let us know by emailing sam.coates@walesgreenparty.org.uk or on 07590008249.
