Sixteen: Old enough to pay taxes. Old enough to marry. Old enough to vote?

The Young Greens have long backed the campaign to lower the voting age to 16 and better engage the youth in citizinship and democracy.  The Youth Citizenship Commission has just begun a consultation on lowering the voting age to 16; have your say here:

This comes at a pertinent time as 16 year olds just voted for the first time in Jersey last week.  And to many people's surprise engaged intelligently with the issues and did not elect Spot the Dog.
