So...since the last national committee meeting we have been busy...(the minutes should be online soon but if you would like to be emailed them please let me know)
We held an action weekend to coincide with the Stop the War march in London which involved canvassing in Lewisham. Lewisham is one of the parliamentary target constituencies so it needs lots of volunteers.
Andy has been off spreading the Green message to school children and university students at Lincoln University and South Camden Community School. he was well received and they were very supportive of votes at 16.
The Young Greens membership officer, Aled, was the youngest candidate in the London Election and fought an excellent campaign in the North East Constituency. Young Greens across the country worked really hard in the local elections, helping the Green Party to increase its council seats.
Finally, Chair Andy and I were invited to take part in a fun new science exhibition at the Science Museum called "the science of survival." We are the young people in thier vox pop videos with experts talking about different aspects of climate change.
If you would like to speak at a school, write an article for the web or the newsletter, or generally get more involved in young greens nationally, do not hesitate to send me an email!
