Last week MP Julie Morgan's Private Member Bill on reducing the legal voting age to 16 was submitted.  The bill was debated in the House of Commons on Friday and received coverage in local newspapers, BBC online, and on the radio.

Our recognition of the benefits of lowering the voting age to 16 is enshrined in our Manifesto for a Sustainable Society.  Now is our opportunity to step up the campaign.   Here is how you can help:

1.  Write to you MP.  Use the following website to find out who your local MP is and write to him/her urging them to back Votes at 16:   http://www.writetothem.com/.

2.  Pass a motion at your school or university saying you back the campaign.
