I was deeply honoured to be elected to Cambridge's City Council on May 6th. It goes to show that despite the massive media squeeze our party felt in this election campaign, hard work from other Green councillors in a ward and personal effort and time spent on the ward pays off in the end.

As well as celebrating the election of Britain's first Green MP, Caroline Lucas, Young Greens have welcomed the election of Adam Pogonowski, a Young Green in Cambridge.

Adam, 23, had this to say:

At 25, Emilie Turunen is the youngest member of the European Parliament. She represents the Danish party Socialistisk Folkeparti, a member party of the European Green Party. On Friday 5th March, she hosted a session on Youth Unemployment at the UK Office of the European Parliament, which Marek and I attended.
