The Green Party of England and Wales has a global vision and environmental politics is a global movement. The Young Greens is a part of this movement! We offer you the possibility to participate in international meetings, exchanges and events, to meet young Greens from lots of different countries and backgrounds, make friends and plans, get new ideas and inspiration, learn from each other, make a difference and have lots of fun at the same time!
The events are largely expenses paid. They include food, accomodation and introduction to local culture and of course discussions, workshops and seminars. Travel costs are usually reimbursed to 70%.
Prior experience on the topics is usually not required. A strong interest and some enthusiasm will do. You don’t have to hold any important position in the Young Greens and especially if you haven’t been member for long it is a great way to find out more about the green movement! So don’t hestitate to apply!
People who are not members of Young Greens are sometimes able to participate. Get in touch with the international liaison officer to find out in which programmes non-members can participate.
Become a Country Watcher
If you have a particular interest in another country it would be great if you could write short reports on what is going on in their local Green Parties, so we can learn from their strategies. Email international AT younggreens.org.uk for more information.
