Off to the seaside!
Already the Young Greens are getting excited about Autumn Conference. This is the biggest Conference of the year for both the Young Greens and the Green Party.
When is it?
Conference starts at 10am on Thursday 21st September and finishes around midday on Sunday 24th September.
Where is it?
The Conference will be taking place at The Hove Centre, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 4AH.
How do I get there?
By Rail
Hove's Rail station is only a 10 minute walk from the Hove Centre. Alternatively, you can arrive in Brighton Train Station and catch a bus, or take a cab. There are direct trains to London and frequent services from Portsmouth, Worthing, Lewes, Seaford, Eastbourne and Hastings.
By Road
Brighton & Hove are easily accessible by all areas. From London take the M23/A23.
On Foot
The Hove Centre is located in central Hove, and is easily reached from all directions.
Who can come?
The Conference is open to all members to attend and vote on policy, to attend workshops and training, and evening entertainment. Non-party members are also welcome to attend as non-voting observers at the same rates.
We want members of all our Young Greens Groups to come from around the country so please try and get a gang together and come on down! Last Conference we had lots of new faces so don't be afraid to come on your own - we are a welcoming lot and there is always plenty of opportunity to opt in and out of activites.
What will the Young Greens be doing?
We will be having our AGM and planning strategy for the upcoming year. We will also be electing our new Young Greens Committee and Regional Officers. We hope to have a big role too in Education Day on Thursday!
In addition we are planning to have a Young Green stall with information about the Young Greens and Freshers' Fayer Packs and a Young Green table in the plenary hall to raise the Young Greens profile within the Green Party.
In the evenings, the fun and games begin!
