Campaigns

Young Greens don't just help the Green Party run and win elections - another goal of the Green Party and the Young Greens is to further our policies on sustainability, social justice, peace and other issues through non-violent campaigns, protests and direct action. We're also developing campaigns about climate change, the sex industry, and open source software

Most of the Young Greens campaigning happens through the Local Groups. However, each year the Young Greens concentrate on several national issues, targetting our resources and efforts towards those areas. We also meet up together at national demonstrations and protests. Have a look at some of our recent campaigning efforts:

This year's main 2 campaigns:

Campaign against Trident Nuclear Missiles based in Faslane, Scotland

Campaign against Xenophobia

We are also running these information and awareness raising campaigns:

You can also see our Photo Gallery of previous demonstrations and campaigns.

If you're planning or involved in a campaign in your area, or want to take part in an existing campaign at the national or local level, contact our Campaign Coordinator, Emma Biermann, on campaigns AT younggreens.org.uk, or your Local Group Contact.
